Take a short drive from the hotel and guests will find The Country Kitchen – a gorgeous spot for a casual lunch or dinner. With incredible views and beautiful interiors, this is the place to soak up a South African sunset with bite to eat and an ice cold glass of wine.

Mont Rochelle Wine and vineyards
At Mont Rochelle, the vineyards are situated between 250m and 400m above sea level and cultivate various grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The micro climates created as a result of the Mediterranean-like conditions see dry summers and high winter rainfalls – perfectly suited to nurturing vineyards. Cool breezes in the Franschhoek valley allow for a longer ripening period and the ability to produce wines less suited to hotter parts of the country. The exclusive range of wines available are produced in limited quantities and offer something suited to all tastes.

Wine tasting at Mont Rochelle is part of everyday life, that’s what makes it so special. Sessions can be arranged in a variety of locations – each unique but equally beautiful – whether it’s al fresco in The Country Kitchen or amongst the barrels in the wine cellar.
