LUXURY INTERIORS - DESIGN BY UBER
Nestled on a private, leafy road above the affluent Cheshire town of Alderley Edge, this red brick and stone home was built in 2002. It boasts numerous luxury features with a vast array of accommodation laid across three floors. Thanks to thoughtful space planning and interior design, Design by Uber has transformed the property into a stunning family home.
The requirement was for a modern and stylish vibe with spaces to cater for both family living and socialising with friends. Whilst design schemes were to be practical and informal, every element was to be underpinned with a sub-text of glamour. Top of the owner’s wish list were leisure and entertainment facilities with the ultimate wow-factor – and that’s exactly what was achieved!
The entertainment room is a magnificent space. It’s a sociable area with two distinct zones – a cinema area for more relaxed socialising and a bar to rival any high-end cocktail establishment. A fully illuminated wine cabinet complete with antique mirror back panels sets the tone in the area’s entrance lobby, while ambient lighting and an ebonised timber floor create a hip nightclub feel and set a tone of pure escapism.
The focal point of the cinema area is a feature fireplace media wall complete with upholstered panels and the oversized TV is positioned above the cosy, welcoming fire. Creating a separate social area, the bar is crafted from high gloss grey stained oak with a polished natural stone worktop and bottle displays featuring antiqued mirror panels and backlit onyx add to the sense of drama. There’s one way to describe this room – uber fabulous!
